The supporters of Jaun booed when Stein am Rhein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Boileau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Huber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Barbonetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 13th minute, Stuart Barbonetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Huber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dieter Suppiger hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Stuart Barbonetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Stein am Rhein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Santucci to maneuver through the defense.

Stein am Rhein's Jonas Huber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Stein am Rhein from getting a goal against them. Raymond Boileau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 89th minute, Dieter Suppiger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristof Schenkel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaun's goalkeeper Reynold Steinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
