Hector Hofmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Bianco's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Emanuel Lagrange took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Hofmann. Sgayters Bülach's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Salvator Thoma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mac Donders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Hofmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Bianco's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Sgayters Bülach's Andrijan Caluzi got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Norbert Zuelle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sgayters Bülach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saland FC the free kick. The supporters of Saland FC booed when Sgayters Bülach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Zuelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Rast in the 20th minute of play forced Sgayters Bülach's goalkeeper Hector Hofmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mac Donders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvator Thoma's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Mac Donders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvator Thoma in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Sgayters Bülach getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Garrick Piretti hit a great ball. Saland FC's Tomas Wider couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sgayters Bülach. In the 31st minute Raphael Bianco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Hofmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrijan Caluzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Sgayters Bülach's Salvator Thoma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mac Donders narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raphael Bianco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garrick Piretti kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rene Rast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hector Hofmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Raphael Bianco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Hofmann was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Bianco to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Andrijan Caluzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sgayters Bülach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saland FC the free kick. A collision led to Sgayters Bülach getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Andrijan Caluzi hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Salvator Thoma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mac Donders was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 64 minutes into the match, Raphael Bianco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hector Hofmann, 1-1. After 67 played minutes Sgayters Bülach got a freekick which was hit by Salvator Thoma. Rene Rast could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Hector Hofmann made a huge save. After 75 minutes, Anders Isaak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sgayters Bülach and the Saland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Sgayters Bülach:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saland FC:s goal. Mac Donders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvator Thoma in the 81st minute of play. Hector Hofmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Bianco, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Rene Rast got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raphael Bianco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sgayters Bülach's Hector Hofmann got control of the ball when Rene Rast tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sgayters Bülach's Hector Hofmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Bianco in the 94th minute of play. Raphael Bianco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hofmann having to interfere. The Saland FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saland FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
