But to his dismay, Lorenzo Hunkeler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sc Wohlensee's goalkeeper Timoteo Schneider, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Timoteo Schneider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philo Zacchia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Umberto Guibord managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sc Wohlensee's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Guibord was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raoul Franceschini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Fc Nendaz were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th match minute, Fc Nendaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juerg Dommen to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Schneider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philo Zacchia, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Hunkeler's late challenge caught a Sc Wohlensee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Hunkeler helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Fc Nendaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Hunkeler to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fc Nendaz's Lorenzo Hunkeler got a free kick in the 74th minute.
