Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dieter Suppiger started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Sgayters Bülach booed when Stein am Rhein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Boileau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvator Thoma in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Huber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Sgayters Bülach's goalkeeper Hector Hofmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by eAntonio Cristallini. With a couple of smart ball manuevers eAntonio Cristallini in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Hofmann saved Sgayters Bülach from getting behind. Hector Hofmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by eAntonio Cristallini in the 14th minute. If Andrijan Caluzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregor Santucci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Hofmann. Sgayters Bülach's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, one of Stein am Rhein:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Sgayters Bülach. Anders Isaak stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonas Huber. 1-1. Hector Hofmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Suppiger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieter Suppiger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hofmann having to interfere. In the 49th minute of the match Stein am Rhein got a corner. Sgayters Bülach's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garry Burkhart ran over to the corner to take the kick. Garry Burkhart made a great header on Stein am Rhein's corner, it was just that Sgayters Bülach's Hector Hofmann managed to reach the ball for a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvator Thoma was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Salvator Thoma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Huber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garrick Piretti hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stein am Rhein's Garry Burkhart tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Stein am Rhein's goal looked a bit too open when Salvator Thoma came free, but Jonas Huber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stein am Rhein's Dieter Suppiger got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrijan Caluzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Jonas Huber made a huge save. Gregor Santucci hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Anders Isaak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Huber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Andrijan Caluzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonas Huber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Andrijan Caluzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sgayters Bülach's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrijan Caluzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Huber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salvator Thoma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jonas Huber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Hofmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from eAntonio Cristallini in the 85th minute of play. Raymond Boileau charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Boileau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raymond Boileau hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Sgayters Bülach's Anders Isaak tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raymond Boileau was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st minute, Raymond Boileau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sgayters Bülach's Anders Isaak couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stein am Rhein. Andrijan Caluzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Stein am Rhein supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sgayters Bülach's performance. The match ended with a win for Sgayters Bülach.
