But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cäsar De Col couldn't finish the play. After 11 played minutes FC Tsatsai R.I.P. got a freekick which was hit by Leonce Von. After having played for 20 minutes, Gaston Tittone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. besiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Tittone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Ringeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hunter Zingre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaston Tittone kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cäsar De Col kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Oberholzer. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Eduardo Otter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rafael Ringeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Uli Schmitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Ringeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gaston Tittone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cäsar De Col struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Fernando Oberholzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for besiktaş. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tsatsai R.I.P.'s zone, Gaston Tittone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Oberholzer came out of the goal and Gaston Tittone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cäsar De Col fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Oberholzer having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cäsar De Col to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uli Schmitt got free with Rafael Ringeli in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to besiktaş getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fabien Thürig hit a great ball. Rafael Ringeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hunter Zingre, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
