After a rather tough play, Valatschalp's Faustus Koch got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Karsten Pollastrini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greifensee's supporters rose to their feet, but Karsten Pollastrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Keller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Keller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Fuchs in the 5th minute of the match. Stefan Keller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Weibel, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Greifensee booed when Valatschalp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Nick didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Matthias Fuchs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valatschalp's Stefan Keller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Valatschalp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Keller should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Weibel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Keller came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Greifensee's Eduardo Weibel. But to his dismay, Eduardo Weibel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 37 played minutes Greifensee got a freekick which was hit by Romano Uttiger. Hugh Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan Wetter having to interfere. A collision led to Greifensee getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ermanno Sibenthal hit a great ball. Brendan Wetter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Medina in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Hugh Medina made the kick off in the second half. Greifensee's Eduardo Weibel got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pirmin Rodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Stefan Keller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Ermanno Sibenthal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erasmus Mainville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Weibel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Stefan Keller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valatschalp's Stefan Keller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Valatschalp from getting a goal against them. If Erasmus Mainville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
