The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, FC Littão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudius Donsante to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto Weiss made a kick off. Narcis Giurăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Chiasso SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christopher Girardelli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Narcis Giurăscu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. FC Littão's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. FC Littão's Umberto Weiss got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 67 in the game by Narcis Giurăscu from a close distance when the talented Toby Grob managed to make a qualified save. Chiasso SC's players were relieved. With his leg Toby Grob managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when FC Littão's Narcis Giurăscu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The throw-in from Tony Rüttimann in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Littão's Anders Schwerzmann. After 77 played minutes Chiasso SC got a freekick which was hit by Frasier Lehner. Emiliano Bühler hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 86th minute, one of FC Littão:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Littão. FC Littão's Lutger Wolfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Finger in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chiasso SC's goalkeeper Toby Grob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over FC Littão could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chiasso SC throughout the match.
