After 7 minutes, Michael Kronenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Luna and the Steffisburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, FC Luna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Kronenberg to maneuver through the defense. Tam Küng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Perathoner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neron Süber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan Bernuzzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Giulio Schällibaum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Luna fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when FC Luna's Reiner Blum looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Steffisburg booed when FC Luna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Sulliger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Magnus Perathoner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neron Süber got free with Giulio Schällibaum in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jordan Bernuzzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giulio Schällibaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordan Bernuzzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tam Küng came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Luna's Magnus Perathoner. But to his dismay, Magnus Perathoner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to FC Luna getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Rowan Iff hit a great ball. Neron Süber was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Steffisburg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 47th minute, Neron Süber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giulio Schällibaum was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magnus Perathoner was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, FC Luna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Sulliger to maneuver through the defense. If Neron Süber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giulio Schällibaum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordan Bernuzzi in the 60th minute of the match. Matthias Sulliger kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Michael Kronenberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to FC Luna getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Michael Kronenberg hit a great ball. FC Luna's Reiner Blum managed to work through Steffisburg's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Reiner Blum dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Neron Süber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan Bernuzzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giulio Schällibaum having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Reiner Blum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jordan Bernuzzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Neron Süber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giulio Schällibaum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan Bernuzzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reiner Blum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Luna players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
