The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee gave Isenfluh a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspar Rhinow, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Axenstein's Walton Gaillou. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Axenstein's Malvin Estevis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Germano Balmer. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Axenstein's Georg Mansueti got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Conor Hauser fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 86thth minute of the game Bruce Arsenault who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Isenfluh's Germano Balmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Bruce Arsenault got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerulf Fäh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Balmer having to interfere.
