Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joe Amberg started the match with the kick off. Bryan Ramseier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harald Hegner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 8th minute Joe Amberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Lussier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Harald Hegner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cagliari's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Hegner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Ramseier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bryan Ramseier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Rutten, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Reuteler in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Lussier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carl Rutten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Cagliari's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Kurmann came free, but Peter Lussier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Fräschels HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuele Wyser to maneuver through the defense. Bryan Ramseier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Hegner, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Jay Labrie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryan Ramseier. Fräschels HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jay Labrie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Fräschels HC's goalkeeper Bryan Ramseier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jay Labrie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harald Hegner to strike the kick off in the second half. Carl Rutten struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Bryan Ramseier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cagliari. Bryan Ramseier came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Cagliari's Jay Labrie. But to his dismay, Jay Labrie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 77th match minute, Cagliari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Naumann to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Reuteler got free with Peter Lussier in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th match minute, Cagliari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Furst to maneuver through the defense. Peter Lussier was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samuele Wyser. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cagliari fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! After 85 minutes Cagliari's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuele Wyser who took care of the corner kick. Peter Lussier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Björn Reuteler went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The Cagliari support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
