One of Cagliari:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KS Pionki:s goal. Giusto Mathieu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Peter Lussier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicola Hegner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Giusto Mathieu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Lussier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baptiste Zacchia got free with Peter Lussier in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giusto Mathieu during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes KS Pionki got a freekick which was hit by Giusto Mathieu. In the 17th minute, Toni Pfändler sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KS Pionki's Filippo Zeyer didn't even have to move. Jay Labrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Filippo Zeyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Cagliari's Jay Labrie made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filippo Zeyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jay Labrie struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Filippo Zeyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cagliari. After 32 minutes, Jules Wiss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cagliari and the KS Pionki players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jules Wiss hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Giusto Mathieu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Toni Pfändler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, KS Pionki's Nicola Hegner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peter Lussier. Peter Lussier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Peter Lussier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicola Hegner in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

61 minutes into the game, Vincent Furst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cagliari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KS Pionki the free kick. With a little luck, KS Pionki's Filippo Zeyer got control of the ball when Jay Labrie tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, KS Pionki's Baptiste Zacchia got a free kick in the 69th minute. Giusto Mathieu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Peter Lussier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonello Hirsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 76th minute of the match Vincent Furst completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vincent Furst a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 77th match minute, Cagliari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Furst to maneuver through the defense. Jay Labrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Zeyer having to interfere. Cagliari were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
