Spectators: 7707 (Terracing: 5782, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hans-Ruedi Figini took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schart United F.C.'s goalkeeper Flavian Coscarella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Schart United F.C.'s Julien Kurt got a free kick in the 7th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Romanel HC's Lester Kretz tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Schart United F.C.'s zone, Uberto Ackerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavian Coscarella came out of the goal and Uberto Ackerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavian Coscarella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans-Ruedi Figini's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Regis Ziegler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Felicien Bourgouin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Uberto Ackerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavian Coscarella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Ruedi Figini in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Romanel HC booed when Schart United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Izzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavian Coscarella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Trolla's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Loic Ryf came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Schart United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loic Ryf couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Regis Ziegler made the kick off in the second half. Felicien Bourgouin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regis Ziegler, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Uberto Ackerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavian Coscarella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Ruedi Figini in the 62nd minute of play. If Loic Ryf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72ndth minute of the game Uberto Ackerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schart United F.C.'s Flavian Coscarella was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loic Ryf got free with Felicien Bourgouin in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Romanel HC's Markus Gassmann got a free kick in the 74th minute. Regis Ziegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felicien Bourgouin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loic Ryf got free with Felicien Bourgouin in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romanel HC's Hans-Ruedi Figini got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uberto Ackerman in the 94th minute of play forced Schart United F.C.'s goalkeeper Flavian Coscarella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavian Coscarella didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans-Ruedi Figini went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
