The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabius Brugger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavian Koehler in the 4th minute. Mathias Hesse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graham Robert in the 11th minute of play. Flavian Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fabius Brugger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavian Koehler struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Fabius Brugger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ronco SC. Mathias Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quint Urfer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florens Spielhofer's late challenge caught a FC grün-weiss Arminia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florens Spielhofer helped the player get up and apologised. Florens Spielhofer kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to FC grün-weiss Arminia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jay Geiger hit a great ball. Fabius Brugger was a little too slow when Jarno DuLin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Florens Spielhofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jay Geiger came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC grün-weiss Arminia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jay Geiger couldn't finish the play. FC grün-weiss Arminia were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Ronco SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthäus Wilhelm took the corner. FC grün-weiss Arminia's Matthäus Wilhelm was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mathias Hesse in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarno DuLin to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jarno DuLin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ronco SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Quint Urfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jay Geiger came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC grün-weiss Arminia fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jarno DuLin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ronco SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarno DuLin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabius Brugger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabius Brugger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavian Koehler in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Ronco SC's Jarno DuLin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabius Brugger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Flavian Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC grün-weiss Arminia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
