Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5776, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Berikon's Stefan Isler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dario Alessandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Mathieu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. With his leg David Belisle managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Expats United's Ansgar Graziani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Berikon getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jarl Rusch hit a great ball. Ansgar Graziani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of David Belisle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Expats United's Ansgar Graziani got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berikon's David Belisle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pius Lepre in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Isler in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Mathieu saved Expats United from getting behind. When Ansgar Graziani came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Expats United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ansgar Graziani couldn't finish the play. Tam Brandenberger hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Expats United's Kurt Mathieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alessandro in the 30th minute of play. Kurt Mathieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Isler, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Dario Alessandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Dario Alessandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Mathieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Pius Lepre made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Expats United's Ansgar Graziani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Belisle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Tam Brandenberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ansgar Graziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Alessandro scored 0-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Mathieu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Stefan Isler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Mathieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Berikon getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tam Brandenberger hit a great ball. David Belisle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Eggimann in the 72nd minute of play. David Belisle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pius Lepre in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Stefan Isler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berikon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Expats United the free kick. A collision led to Berikon getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Stefan Isler hit a great ball. Dario Alessandro struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Kurt Mathieu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berikon. After having played for 86 minutes, Dario Alessandro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berikon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Alessandro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Ansgar Graziani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Isler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Mathieu having to interfere.
