Balthasar De la Cruz made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Peder Nietlisbach sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in BENFICA's zone, Giancarlo Lehmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jost Oehen came out of the goal and Giancarlo Lehmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jost Oehen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Bolliger went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Giancarlo Lehmann took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jost Oehen. Jost Oehen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to MUtti getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Klaus Reiter hit a great ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Neil Graf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MUtti's Balthasar De la Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, MUtti's Lyonel Finger got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Neil Graf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Neil Graf in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Balthasar De la Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Graf in the 28th minute of play forced MUtti's goalkeeper Balthasar De la Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BENFICA's Neil Graf slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Balthasar De la Cruz. That made the score 2-2 after 31 minutes of play. Rolf Bolliger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jost Oehen having to make a save. Balthasar De la Cruz made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Didier Eggimann sent off a good shot on target. Balthasar De la Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Graf, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Sylvester Studhalter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MUtti getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lyonel Finger hit a great ball. Balthasar De la Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylvester Studhalter, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Balthasar De la Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Jost Oehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Bolliger in the 60th minute of play. Didier Eggimann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Peder Nietlisbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. BENFICA's supporters rose to their feet, but Peder Nietlisbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balthasar De la Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Sylvester Studhalter came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the BENFICA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvester Studhalter couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Peder Nietlisbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elijah Fiorita lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 71st minute, one of BENFICA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BENFICA. The goalkeeper, Jost Oehen, was totally fooled by MUtti's Fridericus Martinelli, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 76th minute, Giancarlo Lehmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jost Oehen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. After a rather tough play, MUtti's Fridericus Martinelli got a free kick in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Giancarlo Lehmann notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of BENFICA's Jost Oehen. Jost Oehen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Klaus Reiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Didier Eggimann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balthasar De la Cruz having to interfere. Jost Oehen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lyonel Finger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-6 in the 90 minute of play. After a rather tough play, BENFICA's Didier Eggimann got a free kick in the 95th minute. Peder Nietlisbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balthasar De la Cruz having to interfere. MUtti were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over BENFICA's much stronger midfield.
