If Marc Zemp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Jim Schenk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylan Zuber in the 40th minute of play forced Outsiders's goalkeeper Pierre Rusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Rusch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dylan Zuber in the 44th minute of play. The Outsiders players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grasshopper Club Zürich were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dylan Zuber made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Outsiders's goalkeeper Pierre Rusch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolphe Donsante. Pierre Rusch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Zuber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierre Rusch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolphe Donsante in the 60th minute. Luca Wurfel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Schenk in the 64th minute of play. Jim Schenk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Grasshopper Club Zürich defense, Marc Zemp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luca Wurfel. The Grasshopper Club Zürich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luca Wurfel should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Pierre Rusch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Outsiders's Pierre Rusch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Zuber in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolphe Donsante in the 88th minute of play forced Outsiders's goalkeeper Pierre Rusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan Zuber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
