Raul Walliser was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baptiste Maurer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. When Baptiste Maurer came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Fc Schönenwerd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baptiste Maurer couldn't finish the play. Alois Zihler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Walliser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Schönenwerd. Raul Walliser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baptiste Maurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Fussball Club Luzern's Leonard Megnet got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Fc Schönenwerd's Baptiste Maurer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Walliser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Goran Pfeiffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fussball Club Luzern's Raul Walliser got control of the ball when Alois Zihler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baptiste Maurer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Walliser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Baptiste Maurer made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baptiste Maurer in the 53rd minute of play forced Fussball Club Luzern's goalkeeper Raul Walliser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alois Zihler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fc Schönenwerd's supporters rose to their feet, but Alois Zihler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Walliser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clint Malatesta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Fc Schönenwerd's Alois Zihler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raul Walliser made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Clint Malatesta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fussball Club Luzern's supporters rose to their feet, but Clint Malatesta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henri Weiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baptiste Maurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fussball Club Luzern's Raul Walliser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baptiste Maurer in the 78th minute of play. Alois Zihler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Raul Walliser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Walliser came out of the goal and Baptiste Maurer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fussball Club Luzern's Raul Walliser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alois Zihler in the 83rd minute of play. Raul Walliser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Fussball Club Luzern's goal looked a bit too open when Alois Zihler came free, but Raul Walliser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Schönenwerd's Baptiste Maurer got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fc Schönenwerd fully deserved thier win.
