David Theiss was a little too slow when Keith Padula got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 13 played minutes Nürensdorf SC got a freekick which was hit by Jiri Larivière. Rey Nef took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Wulf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Schmid's late challenge caught a Nürensdorf SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Schmid helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Fred Ostermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th match minute, Nürensdorf SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Beaulé to maneuver through the defense. Mark Wulf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rey Nef read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Villeret Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Brütsch to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Nürensdorf SC got a freekick which was hit by Williams Gauthier. Keith Padula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. David Theiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Villeret Academy getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Juan Suppiger hit a great ball. Rey Nef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Wulf in the 42nd minute of the match. Jiri Larivière blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Theiss having to make a save. David Theiss acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mathias Iosif. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Padula made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Samir Pfeffer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Paul Schlatter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villeret Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nürensdorf SC the free kick. Paul Schlatter kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Samir Pfeffer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Theiss having to make a save. Keith Padula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Jan Schmid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Theiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samir Pfeffer's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Villeret Academy's Florian Brütsch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rey Nef narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mark Wulfs short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Rey Nef to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 77 played minutes Nürensdorf SC got a freekick which was hit by Mike Figini. 84 minutes into the match, Villeret Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Williams Gauthier came free, but David Theiss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Keith Padula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Theiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Nürensdorf SC defense, Mark Wulf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rey Nef. The Nürensdorf SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rey Nef should have stopped the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
