In the 9thth minute of the game Gaston Stössel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kickers Luzern's Daniel Ehrlichmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bastian Meuti hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Luis Duerr walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The referee showed Foster Summermatter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 33 minutes into the match, Kickers Luzern's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Duerr came free, but Daniel Ehrlichmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gaston Stössel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Quintus Huber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Findelen's Stanislaw Besmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Findelen from getting a goal against them. Daniel Ehrlichmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Stössel, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Findelen's Gaston Stössel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Ehrlichmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Luis Duerr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Findelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Duerr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Findelen's Luis Duerr got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Högger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaston Stössel took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Ehrlichmann. Daniel Ehrlichmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. A collision led to Kickers Luzern getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Leif Borer hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Gaston Stössel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Findelen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Daniel Ehrlichmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintus Huber, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Brendan Henziross received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Daniel Ehrlichmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Stössel took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Ehrlichmann. Daniel Ehrlichmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Gaston Stössel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Ehrlichmann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Gaston Stössel made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Ehrlichmann. Kickers Luzern's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. After a defensive mix-up in Kickers Luzern's zone, Foster Summermatter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Ehrlichmann came out of the goal and Foster Summermatter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Luis Duerr fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Carlo Zuber kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Daniel Ehrlichmann made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gaston Stössel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Duerr in the 90th minute of play forced Kickers Luzern's goalkeeper Daniel Ehrlichmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislaw Besmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Borer in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Luis Duerr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
