In the 18th match minute, FC Stadtclub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romero Affolter to maneuver through the defense. Beat Hagenbuch made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 21stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Cecil Mahler would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 22 minutes into the game, Horatio Tobler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cecil Mahler. Horatio Tobler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, FC Stadtclub's Matthias Vrijdags got a free kick in the 24th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Cecil Mahler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Stadtclub's Giacomo Wunderlin suffered a concussion after 30 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentin Rüegsegger during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Stadtclub's Carlos Dufresne was substituted for Giacomo Wunderlin. After having played for 37 minutes, Horatio Tobler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Stadtclub's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horatio Tobler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pietro Urner hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, FC Stadtclub's Horatio Tobler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cecil Mahler. Cecil Mahler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horatio Tobler was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Saillon AC's zone, Romero Affolter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecil Mahler came out of the goal and Romero Affolter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FC Stadtclub's Horatio Tobler in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saillon AC's goalie prevented a goal. Fabio Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garcia Schüepp, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beat Hagenbuch in the 64th minute of play forced Saillon AC's goalkeeper Cecil Mahler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Stadtclub fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when FC Stadtclub's Beat Hagenbuch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 84th minute, Beat Hagenbuch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cecil Mahler was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 88 minutes into the match, FC Stadtclub's Beat Hagenbuch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecil Mahler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Beat Hagenbuch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecil Mahler was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. When Fergus Campigli fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saillon AC's protests and gave Fergus Campigli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Fergus Campigli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Stadtclub's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
