After a rather tough play, Ayer's Pablo Barrière got a free kick in the 15th minute. But to his dismay, Johnny Högger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, Ayer's goalkeeper Nicolas Waller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnny Högger. Maxime Chassot hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Harald Strobel kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Nicolas Waller acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Maxime Chassot. Palmiro Schaerer lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
