Kuno Ostermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Hesse having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Matthias Vrijdags hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Horatio Tobler notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Füchse FC's Ernst Ottenin-Girard. Ernst Ottenin-Girard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half FC Stadtclub were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 minutes, Chris Balmer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Füchse FC and the FC Stadtclub players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Stadtclub booed when Füchse FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Balmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Horatio Tobler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horatio Tobler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Ottenin-Girard having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Giacomo Wunderlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernst Ottenin-Girard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 70th minute, FC Stadtclub's Horatio Tobler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After a rather tough play, FC Stadtclub's Giacomo Wunderlin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Beat Hagenbuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Ottenin-Girard having to interfere. Dorel Bordei kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Füchse FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense. If Beat Hagenbuch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Beat Hagenbuch got free in front of the goal in the 91st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ernst Ottenin-Girard was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
