The referee ignored Atlético San Fernando's protests and gave Henric Persson a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Henric Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético San Fernando's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Persson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ted Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henric Persson took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cliff Fuerst. Cliff Fuerst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Henric Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Atlético San Fernando's Salomo von Felten got a free kick in the 48th minute. With a little luck, Atlético San Fernando's Christophe Wermelinger got control of the ball when Kevin Sommer tried to sneak it across the goal line.

After 53 minutes of play, Atlético San Fernando's Ted Paulin made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cliff Fuerst was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christophe Wermelinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlon Keiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The supporters of Flurlingen FC booed when Atlético San Fernando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yannick Osterhagen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Henric Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cliff Fuerst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pat Zweifel in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cliff Fuerst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Ted Paulin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cliff Fuerst. The goal made the score 1-5. Christophe Wermelinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mac Jäger in the 95th minute of the match. Atlético San Fernando were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Flurlingen FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Salomo von Felten took the corner. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético San Fernando had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
