The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cedric Struver showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Joel Witschard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hundwil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Witschard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Frei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derek Murray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hundwil FC's Rainer Fuchs pulled a muscle in his leg after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 16 minutes, Eduard Gschwind mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Volketswil and the Hundwil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Volketswil's Eduard Gschwind got a free kick in the 17th minute. Jaromir Fuchs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Hundwil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Murray to maneuver through the defense. Salvatore Ruano's late challenge caught a Hundwil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvatore Ruano helped the player get up and apologised. 26 minutes into the match, Hundwil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Ruano came free, but Cedric Struver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, FC Volketswil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Scheidegger to maneuver through the defense. Cedric Struver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvatore Ruano in the 31st minute of the match. If Salvatore Ruano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Hundwil FC booed when FC Volketswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikita Kaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hundwil FC's Joe Helbling got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Volketswil's Daniele Roy got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Joel Witschard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hundwil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Witschard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Frei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orell Theissl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serge Frei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Witschard in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Gernot Kirsch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Serge Frei. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 48 minutes, Joel Witschard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hundwil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Witschard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvatore Ruano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joel Witschard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Volketswil's Jaromir Fuchs got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Witschard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Witschard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serge Frei having to interfere. Gernot Kirsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvatore Ruano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Volketswil's Serge Frei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Witschard in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Joel Witschard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serge Frei. FC Volketswil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Witschard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Joel Witschard struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Serge Frei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hundwil FC. In the 92nd minute, Eduard Gschwind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Derek Murray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hundwil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Derek Murray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Frei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hundwil FC had played much better football throughout.
