Spectators: 6043 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 100) FC Volketswil's Salvatore Ruano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sydney Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Serge Frei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Barcelona's Gavin Giacomozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Ignacio Barbosa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 11 minutes into the game, Yvan Koch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Volketswil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. In the 12th match minute, FC Volketswil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yvan Koch to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Sydney Baiano put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Serge Frei. Paul Schreider took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serge Frei. Serge Frei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Serge Frei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sydney Baiano went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Serge Frei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Baiano in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when FC Volketswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregor Scheidegger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sydney Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Barcelona's Vitório Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. After 34 minutes of play, FC Barcelona's Sydney Baiano made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serge Frei was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Laderoute in the 38th minute of play forced FC Volketswil's goalkeeper Serge Frei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Sydney Baiano made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. FC Volketswil's Serge Frei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes of play, FC Barcelona's Sydney Baiano made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serge Frei was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the FC Volketswil defense, Sydney Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serge Frei. The FC Volketswil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serge Frei should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sydney Baiano made the kick off in the second half. Sydney Baiano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Serge Frei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. In the 54th of the match, Sydney Baiano tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Serge Frei got in the way and made a wonderful save. 60 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Ruano came free, but Vitório Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serge Frei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Baiano in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serge Frei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serge Frei stood somewhat misplaced when Sydney Baiano came free in front of goal and shot 0-11 to the left of him in the 72 minute. In the 84th minute, FC Barcelona's Gavin Giacomozzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serge Frei. Serge Frei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Vitório Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvatore Ruano in the 88th minute of play. Salvatore Ruano hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After having played for 99 minutes, Sydney Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over FC Barcelona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Volketswil throughout the match.
