In the 11th minute Pat Zweifel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vitório Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlético San Fernando's Harley Dafond got a free kick in the 16th minute. Vitório Goiano made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jose Syz sent off a good shot on target. Atlético San Fernando were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after FC Barcelona's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Salomo von Felten took the corner. Atlético San Fernando's Salomo von Felten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vitório Goiano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Atlético San Fernando getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Salomo von Felten hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Atlético San Fernando's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Barbosa came free, but Christophe Wermelinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético San Fernando's Jose Syz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitório Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sydney Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Barcelona fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when FC Barcelona's Sydney Baiano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37th minute, Uwe Jutzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Vinciguerra hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético San Fernando's Kim Min Jou got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Sydney Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Wermelinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Sydney Baiano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atlético San Fernando's Christophe Wermelinger. Christophe Wermelinger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Baiano was the one to do the kick off. Christophe Wermelinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Baiano in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match FC Barcelona got a corner. Atlético San Fernando's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Tróia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Barcelona's Ramiro Tróia to fire away a dangerous shot which Christophe Wermelinger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 58th minute, Jose Syz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christophe Wermelinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Baiano in the 60th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Harley Dafond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jose Syz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Atlético San Fernando's goalkeeper Christophe Wermelinger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elroy Kolb. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Mario Vinciguerra got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute Ted Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético San Fernando's Salomo von Felten got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Piet Vendembia during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pat Zweifel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Barcelona made a substitution. Berthold Wy replaced Mario Vinciguerra. Ted Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Goiano having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Salomo von Felten put in a rough tackle. After 95 played minutes Atlético San Fernando got a freekick which was hit by Salomo von Felten. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético San Fernando's goalkeeper Christophe Wermelinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Atlético San Fernando fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Barcelona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
