FC Volketswil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perudiego the free kick. The supporters of Perudiego booed when FC Volketswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Gschwind didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes FC Volketswil got a freekick which was hit by Nikita Kaspar. If Salvatore Ruano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Volketswil booed when Perudiego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikita Kälin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Fabien Kretz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perudiego's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabien Kretz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Frei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st match minute, Perudiego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrique Winkler to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match, Pat Schlüssel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Serge Frei was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jaromir Fuchs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benedict Felix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pat Schlüssel came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Perudiego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pat Schlüssel couldn't finish the play. Serge Frei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabien Kretz went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Liborius Hitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Serge Frei made a huge save. Serge Frei made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nikita Kälin sent off a good shot on target. FC Volketswil's Serge Frei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Volketswil from getting a goal against them. Pat Schlüssel scored 0-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serge Frei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Liborius Hitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedict Felix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvatore Ruano in the 81st minute of the match. Julius Schöpfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pat Schlüssel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liborius Hitz in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serge Frei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serge Frei was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Pat Schlüssel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pat Schlüssel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When Philip Kaufmann fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perudiego's protests and gave Philip Kaufmann a yellow card for diving instead. Perudiego played a much better game than FC Volketswil and deserved their victory. The FC Volketswil players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
