Alfonso De Grandis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Lütolf having to make a save. If Samuele Diederich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute, Alfonso De Grandis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfonso De Grandis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Alonzo Vermudo put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonas Lütolf. Eduardo Boehm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Antonio Paly fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's protests and gave Antonio Paly a yellow card for diving instead. Antonio Paly hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jonas Lütolf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso De Grandis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eamon Hess made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bairee McGlenn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alonzo Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Lütolf having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sylvester Binzegger got free with Yvan Cicchetti in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's zone, Samuele Diederich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Lütolf came out of the goal and Samuele Diederich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Alfonso De Grandis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Lütolf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso De Grandis, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Mitja Huber kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso De Grandis came free, but Jonas Lütolf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rdth minute of the game Alfonso De Grandis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's Jonas Lütolf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Cuba Libre Basel players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
