Riedli HC's Alvarez Déziel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannis Lauri in the 4th minute of play. When Ralph Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riedli HC's protests and gave Ralph Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Ralph Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvarez Déziel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yannis Lauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. From a short distance, Mon's Yannis Lauri, in the 17th minute, tried to place the ball behind Alvarez Déziel, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Connor Schällibaum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Abendroth in the 25th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Mon's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Poulin came free, but Connor Schällibaum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvarez Déziel made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Freeman Sperisen sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Poulin in the 35th minute of play forced Mon's goalkeeper Connor Schällibaum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvarez Déziel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yannis Lauri's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Sebastien Kolb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Yannis Lauri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mon's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannis Lauri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvarez Déziel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 57 minutes of play, Mon's Yannis Lauri made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvarez Déziel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Ralph Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubert Strebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvarez Déziel having to interfere. Mon made a substitution. Alvarez Déziel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Mon were the better team. Mon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
