Lugano's Bruno Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bruno Guimarães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Lütolf was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eamon Hess made a kick off. A wasted opportunity for Lugano. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Kai Kamarche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Kai Kamarche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Lütolf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Lugano fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Lugano's Bruno Guimarães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Lugano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AG.S. Rhäzüns FC.
