Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kai Kamarche took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Bruno Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute, Lugano's Ken Pfulg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Rasul Gräf was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ken Pfulg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. Kai Kamarche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasul Gräf having to interfere. The supporters of Lugano booed when Yverdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franck Tive didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Kevin Baumberger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yverdon and the Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Patrizio Huber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 21 played minutes Kai Kamarche rounded Yverdon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. Rasul Gräf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Kamarche, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Bruno Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Rasul Gräf made a huge save. Rasul Gräf came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lugano's Patrizio Huber. But to his dismay, Patrizio Huber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 37 minutes into the match, Yverdon's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Kamarche came free, but Rasul Gräf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lugano's Kai Kamarche slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rasul Gräf. That made the score 8-0 after 47 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Irenäus Beyer was the one to do the kick off. Rasul Gräf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Yverdon's goal looked a bit too open when Patrizio Huber came free, but Rasul Gräf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes, Lugano's Ken Pfulg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rasul Gräf came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lugano reached it. Rasul Gräf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Kamarche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrizio Huber took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rasul Gräf. Rasul Gräf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. In the 78th match minute, Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lothaire Coccia to maneuver through the defense. After 80 minutes of play, Lugano's Kai Kamarche made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rasul Gräf was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Kai Kamarche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rasul Gräf was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Yverdon's Rasul Gräf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Kamarche in the 86th minute of play. Rasul Gräf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Guimarães in the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Yverdon's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Pfulg came free, but Rasul Gräf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Pfulg in the 92nd minute of play forced Yverdon's goalkeeper Rasul Gräf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Kai Kamarche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rasul Gräf. Yverdon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kai Kamarche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. Kevin Baumberger hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Kai Kamarche struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Rasul Gräf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugano.
