In the 18th match minute, ZION AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jud Zubriggen to maneuver through the defense. Iago Aspas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ur Sal having to interfere. After 20 minutes of play, ZION AC's Nathaniel Gloeckner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dan Steiger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ur Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iago Aspas in the 23rd minute of the match. If Percy Ziegler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Ur Sal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Pirsus's Iago Aspas got a free kick in the 34th minute. Dan Steiger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Amstad in the 35th minute of the match. When Guillaume Izzo fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirsus's protests and gave Guillaume Izzo a yellow card for diving instead. Guillaume Izzo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Dan Steiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Amstad in the 47th minute of play. After the first half ZION AC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quentin Amstad was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of ZION AC booed when Pirsus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Ziegler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Helleren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Steiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Meier in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Pirsus's Giuliano Spiller made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ur Sal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute Donald Niens clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. After 69 minutes, Quentin Amstad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZION AC and the Pirsus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pirsus made a substitution. Jefferson Brunner replaced Donald Niens. Dan Steiger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Remy Despland. Lionel Decorvet kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Percy Ziegler struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ur Sal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirsus. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Ziegler in the 83rd minute of play forced ZION AC's goalkeeper Ur Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Pirsus's goalkeeper Dan Steiger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quentin Amstad. After 85 played minutes ZION AC got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Decorvet. After 88 played minutes Pirsus got a freekick which was hit by Giuliano Spiller. Quentin Amstad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dan Steiger made a huge save. If Giuliano Spiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ZION AC's Kenan Brandt got a free kick in the 95th minute. Pirsus succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ZION AC had controlled the match.
