Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gallus Schöpfer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Chuck Moschen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Gaitan in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Gallus Schöpfer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chuck Moschen. Matélon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gallus Schöpfer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aljoscha Bisang hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. A collision led to Matélon getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Claude Racine hit a great ball. Gallus Schöpfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Ulrich Wiler made a precise shot to the right of Chuck Moschen. Matélon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Chuck Moschen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Gaitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Rodolfo Gaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apfelbaum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Gaitan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chuck Moschen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Lejeune in the 20th minute of play. Nico Gerste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chuck Moschen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Rodolfo Gaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apfelbaum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Gaitan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Matélon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrien Werfel to maneuver through the defense. Apfelbaum's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Gerste in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on Apfelbaum's corner Nico Gerste fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chuck Moschen quite easily take care of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Claude Racine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Racines short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Arnaldo Fiedler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35 minutes, Rodolfo Gaitan made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Matélon's Chuck Moschen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Apfelbaum's Rodolfo Gaitan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chuck Moschen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Claude Racine who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Fiedler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Matélon's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Gaitan came free, but Chuck Moschen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Apfelbaum were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Rodolfo Gaitan took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Chuck Moschen to make any attempt to save it. Gallus Schöpfer in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chuck Moschen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chuck Moschen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Gaitan in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Apfelbaum's Gallus Schöpfer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chuck Moschen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 64 minutes into the match, Claude Racine notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Apfelbaum's Arnaldo Fiedler. Arnaldo Fiedler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the game, Apfelbaum's Gallus Schöpfer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chuck Moschen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. The supporters of Apfelbaum booed when Matélon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrien Werfel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes, Ramon Koch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matélon and the Apfelbaum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramon Koch kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Nico Gerste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kenneth Lejeune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Matélon's Nico Gygax got a free kick in the 74th minute. Claude Racine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Arnaldo Fiedler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chuck Moschen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Gaitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Gallus Schöpfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Fuhrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuck Moschen having to interfere. Gallus Schöpfer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 92nd match minute, Matélon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cody Genazzi to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Nico Gerste shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chuck Moschen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matélon's Chuck Moschen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Gaitan in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Apfelbaum left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matélon.
