Boris Oehen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Bottens's Karl Bleyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boris Oehen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The penalty shot was made by Ulric Laforge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SSC Napoli - THE END's Boris Oehen. 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli - THE END's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Zacchia came free, but Boris Oehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Gruenewald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arndt Tittone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bottens fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Arndt Tittone, was totally fooled by SSC Napoli - THE END's Herve Colloriti, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Zacchia to strike the kick off in the second half. If Charles Zacchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61stth minute of the game Farid Stäheli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bottens's Arndt Tittone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Bleyer's late challenge caught a SSC Napoli - THE END's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Bleyer helped the player get up and apologised. Karl Bleyer hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Carl Gruenewald struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Arndt Tittone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSC Napoli - THE END. When Farid Stäheli, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arndt Tittone was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Carl Gruenewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boris Oehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Zacchia in the 87th minute of play. Boris Oehen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pitt Dähler. 95 minutes into the match, Bottens's goal looked a bit too open when Farid Stäheli came free, but Arndt Tittone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bottens walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
