Spectators: 8332 (Terracing: 6331, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 60) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lamberto Riedweg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Berne Wanderers FC's Kristian Reuteler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Endrik Galliker. Endrik Galliker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Andy Held came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Berne Wanderers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Held couldn't finish the play. Robby Schaer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Endrik Galliker made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, Moon Night Fighter's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Held came free, but Endrik Galliker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Endrik Galliker didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Endrik Galliker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamberto Riedweg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Clayton Helmholz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Lionel 柯景云 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio Taffarel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Philipp Bianchini hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Andy Held received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Endrik Galliker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endrik Galliker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamberto Riedweg in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Moon Night Fighter's Endrik Galliker got control of the ball when Robby Schaer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Berne Wanderers FC booed when Moon Night Fighter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lionel 柯景云 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robby Schaer scored 3-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Endrik Galliker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Reuteler in the 29th minute of play forced Moon Night Fighter's goalkeeper Endrik Galliker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roland Stadler in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Taffarel saved Berne Wanderers FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Moon Night Fighter defense, Andy Held kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Endrik Galliker. The Moon Night Fighter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Endrik Galliker should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Stadler made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robby Schaer in the 52nd minute of play forced Moon Night Fighter's goalkeeper Endrik Galliker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Endrik Galliker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamberto Riedweg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Moon Night Fighter's Endrik Galliker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Schaer in the 59th minute of play. Endrik Galliker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamberto Riedweg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristian Reuteler took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Endrik Galliker. Endrik Galliker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robby Schaer in the 68th minute of play forced Moon Night Fighter's goalkeeper Endrik Galliker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Stadler in the 69th minute of play forced Berne Wanderers FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Berne Wanderers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lionel 柯景云 was slow to take the kick. During this time Moon Night Fighter's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Moon Night Fighter's Lionel 柯景云 to fire away a dangerous shot which Cláudio Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Berne Wanderers FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lamberto Riedweg hit a great ball. Roland Stadlers short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Cláudio Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Endrik Galliker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamberto Riedweg in the 76th minute of play. Lamberto Riedweg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Endrik Galliker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robby Schaer scored 7-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Endrik Galliker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Andy Held left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berne Wanderers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Bertel Czajkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Moon Night Fighter's Endrik Galliker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Held in the 86th minute of play. Endrik Galliker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamberto Riedweg in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Moon Night Fighter's goal looked a bit too open when Robby Schaer came free, but Endrik Galliker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Berne Wanderers FC were the better team. Berne Wanderers FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
