The Apfelbaum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mick Doucet should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Apfelbaum's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Wocher came free, but Mick Doucet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mick Doucet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Trudeau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Robby Reich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Doucet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mick Doucet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nathan Trudeau went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Apfelbaum's Mick Doucet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Trudeau in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Nathan Trudeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Doucet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Wocher in the 70th minute of play forced Apfelbaum's goalkeeper Mick Doucet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Fuhrer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Apfelbaum's zone, Christian Wocher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mick Doucet came out of the goal and Christian Wocher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico Gerste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Karsten Gerner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Widodo Puang came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Apfelbaum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Widodo Puang couldn't finish the play. Apfelbaum's Mick Doucet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Apfelbaum from getting a goal against them. Robby Reich hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded FC Thun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Apfelbaum.
