Moon Night Fighter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Thun the free kick. Christian Wocher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Endrik Galliker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Endrik Galliker was a little too slow when Jefferson Miani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 12th minute Nathan Trudeau suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gilabert Diguja's late challenge caught a FC Thun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilabert Diguja helped the player get up and apologised. Gilabert Diguja kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jefferson Mianis short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Endrik Galliker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Christian Wocher kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Endrik Galliker. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernot Ulrich during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FC Thun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Ulrich to maneuver through the defense. If Christian Wocher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Thun's Robby Reich managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ivan Winkler in the 32 minute of the game. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Ivan Winkler with Gilabert Diguja as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Endrik Galliker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Wocher in the 36th minute. Christian Wocher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endrik Galliker having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Wocher to strike the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Miani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Endrik Galliker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Thun fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when FC Thun's Christian Wocher looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christian Wocher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endrik Galliker having to interfere. There was no doubt that FC Thun were the better team. FC Thun's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
