Eschikofen
Spectators: 8467 (Terracing: 6351,
Seating: 1947, VIP seats: 169) Christian Wocher started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eschikofen's Raffaelo von Felten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Wocher in the 13th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Lepage during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Eschikofen's Luca Lepage got a free kick in the 14th minute. Adamantios Vlastarakis scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karsten Gerner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christian Wocher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raffaelo von Felten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Adamantios Vlastarakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eschikofen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adamantios Vlastarakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Adamantios Vlastarakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Gerner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raffaelo von Felten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Wocher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Yanic Zimmermann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karsten Gerner. FC Thun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yanic Zimmermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Karsten Gerner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Zweig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, Eschikofen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adamantios Vlastarakis to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adamantios Vlastarakis made a kick off. Karsten Gerner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adamantios Vlastarakis in the 51st minute of the match. Eschikofen were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after FC Thun's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hector Petroni took the corner. The corner ended in Hector Petroni almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Thun's Karsten Gerner did a great save. In the 54th minute, Yanic Zimmermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eschikofen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Adamantios Vlastarakis scored 5-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karsten Gerner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karsten Gerner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanic Zimmermann in the 63rd minute of play. Karsten Gerner came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Eschikofen's Adamantios Vlastarakis. But to his dismay, Adamantios Vlastarakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Karsten Gerner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Petroni in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Hector Petroni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karsten Gerner. FC Thun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Petroni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Karsten Gerner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adamantios Vlastarakis's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Kajetan Zweig struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Karsten Gerner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eschikofen. Karsten Gerner came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Eschikofen's Yanic Zimmermann. But to his dismay, Yanic Zimmermann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Christian Wocher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Raffaelo von Felten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karsten Gerner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamantios Vlastarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Nathan Trudeau fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Thun's protests and gave Nathan Trudeau a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Eschikofen booed when FC Thun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Trudeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eschikofen's Adamantios Vlastarakis got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karsten Gerner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamantios Vlastarakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Yanic Zimmermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Gerner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Eschikofen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
