The supporters of Böttstein FC booed when Graben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Savier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Böttstein FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Blum to maneuver through the defense. Tim Valkenaers struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Lars Berardi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graben. In the 16th minute Tim Valkenaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Berardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Rodel in the 18th minute of play forced Böttstein FC's goalkeeper Lars Berardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Jimeno Savier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute Gunter Rodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Berardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimeno Savier might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Berardi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimeno Savier ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Valkenaers in the 27th minute of play forced Böttstein FC's goalkeeper Lars Berardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes Graben got a freekick which was hit by Gunter Rodel. Richmond Dirckx kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Paul Landers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Graben's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Böttstein FC the free kick. Paul Landers hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Lars Berardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Rodel in the 34th minute of the match. Graben's Richmond Dirckx got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zuri Planes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. If Tim Valkenaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christy Ammon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tim Valkenaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Berardi having to interfere. Tim Valkenaers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Lars Berardi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christy Ammon hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Tim Valkenaers succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 60th playminute. Paul Landers kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Tim Valkenaers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Graben's Paul Landers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lars Berardi. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. Cecil Wegmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Rankel having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Graben left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Böttstein FC.
