Fc Olten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Poldi Schenk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Riccardo Zäch kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Christian Frankfurter made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Sinclair Angelici sent off a good shot on target. Sinclair Angelici took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Frankfurter. Christian Frankfurter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The Fc Olten fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Fc Olten's Fremont Ettlin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fc Olten's Christian Frankfurter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Olten from getting a goal against them. Juergen Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Steffen in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Sinclair Angelici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Frankfurter was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fremont Ettlin in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juergen Lange prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goal looked a bit too open when Fremont Ettlin came free, but Juergen Lange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Fremont Ettlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Jack's Juergen Lange was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Poldi Schenk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cedric Sprecher made the kick off in the second half. Heinrich Rütsche was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fremont Ettlin dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A collision led to Black Jack getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nikolai Zettel hit a great ball. Juergen Lange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poldi Schenk in the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Poldi Schenk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jvo Ciprella during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jvo Ciprella kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Juergen Lange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilbur Steffen, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Juergen Lange made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Poldi Schenk sent off a good shot on target. Poldi Schenk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juergen Lange read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
