Lars Berardi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carolo Pagomari in the 9th minute. In the 12th match minute, NEWELLS SWISS BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boleslaw Gonsiewski to maneuver through the defense. Böttstein FC's Lars Berardi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Böttstein FC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Randy Blythe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELLS SWISS BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 28th minute of the match, Steve Kobel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lars Berardi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. NEWELLS SWISS BOYS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roger Farber in the 29th minute. The corner led NEWELLS SWISS BOYS's Roger Farber to fire away a dangerous shot which Lars Berardi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cecil Wegmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee showed Andre Blum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Böttstein FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Andre Blum hit a great ball. Lars Berardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Farber in the 66th minute of play. Lars Berardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Bühler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes Böttstein FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roger Farber who took care of the corner kick. Kim Van den Haute took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Berardi. Lars Berardi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Lars Berardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Van den Haute, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lars Berardi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steve Kobel went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Lars Berardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randy Blythe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lars Berardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Kim Van den Haute ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars Berardi was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Roger Farber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Kim Van den Haute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Berardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Böttstein FC defense, Randy Blythe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Berardi. The Böttstein FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Berardi should have stopped the shot. NEWELLS SWISS BOYS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
