In the 33rd minute, Thimotheus Roth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norbert Furst made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Thimotheus Roth sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Ernestin Brünisholz made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Böttstein FC got a freekick which was hit by Christy Ammon. Ernestin Brünisholz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Berardi having to interfere. Hubert Martinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes Böttstein FC got a freekick which was hit by Thimotheus Roth. In the 66th minute, Christy Ammon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murathan Baransel got free with Lars Berardi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Böttstein FC's Lars Berardi got control of the ball when Murathan Baransel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregory Hubli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Berardi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play.
