Armin Schauber came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ticino Patriots's Justo Jerano. But to his dismay, Justo Jerano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominique Lischer during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Ticino Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Paes to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximilien Siedler to strike the kick off in the second half. Armin Schauber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Jerano in the 53rd minute of the match. Justo Jerano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Armin Schauber 60 minutes into the match. Roth Sommer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Lampart, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Suruç were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Ticino Patriots's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cyril Lüpold took the corner. Justo Jerano had several of the Suruç's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Armin Schauber as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Dominique Lischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roth Sommer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominique Lischer in the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Jerano in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armin Schauber saved Suruç from getting behind. Suruç's Mauro Lowe quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Frankie Freeh, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ticino Patriots walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
