Tizian Zimmermann kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ticino Patriots's Lucjan Zacharek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Justo Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elari Veide having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Yggdrasil's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucjan Zacharek fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 21st minute, Zac Naab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Yggdrasil's zone, Lucjan Zacharek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elari Veide came out of the goal and Lucjan Zacharek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elari Veide was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Justo Jerano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Kauã Paes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elari Veide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kauã Paes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marc Fuhrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justo Jerano struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Elari Veide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ticino Patriots. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justo Jerano to make the kick off. Justo Jerano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elari Veide having to make a save. Elari Veide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Jerano in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marc Fuhrer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roth Sommer was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 57th minute Yggdrasil were awarded a corner. Herald Hengemühl went to the cornerflag to take it. Bruce Wagner hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Enrique Parizeau's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roth Sommer firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 77th minute Lucjan Zacharek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elari Veide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauã Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elari Veide having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Enrique Parizeau took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Roth Sommer to make any attempt to save it.
