In the 21st minute of the game, Rocky Amberg landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Noah Barbey fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yggdrasil's protests and gave Noah Barbey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Noah Barbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruce Wermuth hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Ämmebronx's Sammy Piller got a free kick in the 27th minute. Marc Fuhrer charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Elari Veide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Amstad in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Amstad made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Marc Fuhrer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hans-Ruedi Filli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th match minute, Yggdrasil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noah Barbey to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Amstad received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elari Veide came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabio Amstad slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 61st minute. The supporters of FC Ämmebronx booed when Yggdrasil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zac Naab didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Zac Naab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Fabio Amstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ämmebronx's goalkeeper Hans-Ruedi Filli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hans-Ruedi Filli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Parizeau in the 88th minute of the match. FC Ämmebronx's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
