Hans-Ruedi Filli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teo Vincx hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Bruce Wermuth charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruce Wermuth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruce Wermuth hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hans-Ruedi Filli made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Justo Jerano sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fabio Amstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ämmebronx's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Amstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roth Sommer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ämmebronx's goalkeeper Hans-Ruedi Filli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hans-Ruedi Filli was a little too slow when Justo Jerano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-4. Justo Jerano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans-Ruedi Filli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Hans-Ruedi Filli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Jerano in the 84th minute of the match. Lucjan Zacharek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Kauã Paes with Justo Jerano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. FC Ämmebronx's Bruce Wermuth got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Bruce Wermuth off the ground. The supporters of Ticino Patriots booed when FC Ämmebronx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Wermuth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ticino Patriots eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
