When Humphrey Croteau came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humphrey Croteau couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Verplanken during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Christopher Verplanken hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ's Dominik Pruss got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ booed when FC Thun 1898 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Bocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humphrey Croteau kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ's Dan Spiess got control of the ball when Basilius Saluz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Farid Finger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greg Rohn went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Henri Stinde hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Thun 1898 booed when єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasso Winiker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaus Kuster hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. FC Thun 1898's Basilius Saluz got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Ivan Lehmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Greg Rohn made a precise shot to the right of Farid Finger. FC Thun 1898's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 36th match minute, FC Thun 1898 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilius Saluz to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Dominik Pruss shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Farid Finger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Thun 1898's Ivan Lehmann got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ivan Lehmann took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Spiess. Dan Spiess dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basilius Saluz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hasso Winiker hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Basilius Saluz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute Henri Stinde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Spiess saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Spiess showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilius Saluz in the 57th minute of the match. Henri Stinde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Spiess read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Henri Stinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humphrey Croteau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Farid Finger came out and tried to block the shot, but Humphrey Croteau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. Henri Stinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignazio Wirth's late challenge caught a FC Thun 1898's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ignazio Wirth helped the player get up and apologised. Dan Spiess had in the 73rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jeremy Riedweg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Basilius Saluz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henri Stinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Farid Finger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Insigne in the 78th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilius Saluz during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes FC Thun 1898 got a freekick which was hit by Basilius Saluz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Croteau in the 81st minute of play forced FC Thun 1898's goalkeeper Farid Finger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ's Dan Spiess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilius Saluz in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the game, LucaLucan Waldburger landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Dominik Pruss fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ's protests and gave Dominik Pruss a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Pruss to maneuver through the defense. єℓє¢тяσ ℓσ¢σѕ's Dominik Pruss got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Dominik Pruss off the ground. Dominik Pruss kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match.
