Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 169) Dick Chauvet started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thoralf Ferber in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Suruç's Dick Chauvet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jared Labrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. FC Zürich's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benoit Luthiger 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Jared Labrie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th minute, Dick Chauvet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suruç fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Jared Labrie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 23rd minute Benoit Luthiger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Suruç's Thoralf Ferber ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jared Labrie. Jared Labrie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 31 minutes into the game, Benoit Luthiger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jared Labrie. Benoit Luthiger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxime Geisseler in the 36th minute of play forced Suruç's goalkeeper Enrico Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Zürich's Jared Labrie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC Zürich from getting a goal against them. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thoralf Ferber, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Suruç's Enrico Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thoralf Betz in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of FC Zürich booed when Suruç was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Chauvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrico Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thoralf Betz in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thoralf Betz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, FC Zürich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudius Wiesi to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Benoit Luthiger came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxime Geisseler's late challenge caught a Suruç's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 80th minute Benoit Luthiger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Zürich defense, Benoit Luthiger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jared Labrie. The FC Zürich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jared Labrie should have stopped the shot. FC Zürich's Jared Labrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoit Luthiger in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Benoit Luthiger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jared Labrie was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 90 minutes into the game, Benoit Luthiger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Jared Labrie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jared Labrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Chauvet in the 95th minute of the match. Jared Labrie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benoit Luthiger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dick Chauvet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jared Labrie was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
