In the 7th minute Nicola Diederich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Brand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didier Bonenfant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Mjöllnir's goal looked a bit too open when Nicola Diederich came free, but Marc Brand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Brand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 15th minute of play. Rodolphe Rochat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Marc Brand made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Hunkeler during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Gunt got a freekick which was hit by Roland Hunkeler. If Quentin Schmidlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. Marc Brand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Rodolphe Rochat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marc Brand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Marc Brand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicola Diederich's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Roman Faber's late challenge caught a Mjöllnir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Faber helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Gunt got a freekick which was hit by Roman Faber. Marc Brand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geraldo Nussbaum went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Nussbaum in the 63rd minute of play forced Mjöllnir's goalkeeper Marc Brand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Roland Hunkeler notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Mjöllnir's Marc Brand. Marc Brand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolphe Rochat in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Brand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Nussbaum in the 78th minute of play. Marc Brand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicola Diederich, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Nicola Diederich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc Brand. Mjöllnir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicola Diederich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 86 minutes of play, Gunt's Roland Hunkeler made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc Brand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quentin Schmidlin hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gunt booed when Mjöllnir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arrigo Möckli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc Brand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 93rd minute of the match. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolphe Rochat in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Gunt players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
