Fifa FC's Rudolf Merz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thoralf Betz in the 30th minute of play. Rudolf Merz came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Zürich's Maxime Geisseler. But to his dismay, Maxime Geisseler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jared Labrie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Jardan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 40 minute of play. FC Zürich's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Gonçalo Secco scored to the left of an out of position Jared Labrie, making the score, 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thoralf Betz was the one to do the kick off. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Pollastrini in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes of play, Fifa FC's Omar Jardan made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jared Labrie was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute Anatol Brünisholz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Zürich fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Fifa FC. Dan Vogt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jared Labrie. 5-2. After 66 minutes, Anatol Brünisholz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fifa FC and the FC Zürich players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anatol Brünisholz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jared Labrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Anatol Brünisholz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Claudius Wiesi fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zürich's protests and gave Claudius Wiesi a yellow card for diving instead. Fifa FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
